Hi Guys!
I have a question that is giving me sleepless nights. Please tell me what to do.
I have to land in Canada by September but I have to come back within a month. Should I give friend’s address for PR card mail upon landing or should I tell immigration people that I plan to come back. The problem with first option is that I read that my friend can’t mail the card as it will be cancelled and taken by customs people, also immigration people can call for any resubmission e.g. pictures.
The problem with second option is how will I come back. Will I get PRTD? Will the 180 days time limit apply on me that is the case to provide address for mailing PR card if it is not provided upon landing.

What should I do?

What should I do?
1. You can give your friend's address and it is a common thing people do. I gave my friend's address as well,
2. He can mail you the card and the information you received is not correct. Mailing the card has no problems.
3. Regarding photo re-submission, if you want to be safe, you can take photos in a good place when you land here and give it to your friend. If CIC asks for photos, you can ask him to send it to them.
4. If you don't want mailing of your PR card, then you can apply for PRTD as well.
In my opinion, if you are not going to travel back within the 3 months after landing, you can ask your friend to mail your PR card. If you want to travel within this period, then apply for a PRTD. Either way give your friend's address to the immigration officer at the time of landing.
