So, in this letter, can we safely say that if you applied somewhere in between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010, and you are having NOC which is still eligible under the New June 26, 2010 rule, your application will be treated as a priority? Or irregardless of your NOC they will treat post June 26 applicants more priotiy than the pre June 26 applicants even if pre JUne 26 applicant's NOC is still elligible under the June 26 rule? Thank you.

Many congratulations Chintu! :)

Wish you best of luck in your new life in Canada. Whereabouts are you planning to settle?

Wayne.

The updated form with PPR mentions surname and first name to be exactly as mentioned in passport.

Indian passports issued by the Embassy do not write anything on surname line and on first name line write full name : First, middle and last name (A B C).

What should be done in this case. Embassy when contacted say it is their practice and no change can be done.

Indians who have such passports and have received Visa from London may please advise. I have to send passport for visa and am worried it may be returned.

Congratulations Chintu! PPR is raining at London CHC!

Hi aspire,

Thanks. Yes indeed few PPRs from CHC London this month.

Has your Ecas changed? I believe your Ecas change should be on the cards if not done, as it is ~14 days since ur PPs reached CHC London.

Where are you based? Do keep us posted when u get ur PPs back. Vl give others a feel of the time taken by CHC London for Visa Stamping.

Chintu,

As per FEDEX tracking CHC recived my passport on April 11, 2011. It is only the 12th day today from the day they received it. Not to mention that it was a holiday yesterday and another holiday at CHC London on Monday. My e cas today is still "inprocess". On the average I think it will take 20-30 days for the e cas status to change to DM from the day they received the passport for visa stamping. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Your estimate of course sounds much better for me. Regards.

Dear Aspire,

The Ecas change is usually in three weeks [around 21 days] of recpt of PPs at CHC London. After that it takes 10-15 days for PPs to reach back. The total turnaround time for PPs is hence 30-40 days. This is based on :
- last few middle east based applicants,
- assuming that there are no pending issues with the applicant at CHC London.

This monday and next one too are holidays for CHC London :(

Hi Chintu and Aspire,

Congrat on your PPR and hopefully visa stamping soon. I sent PP to London on 14 April and hope to recieve PP back in your timeline.

My ecas still shows "in process" and does not show "Medicals have been received" as I have seen in some cases when PPR is received. Could you please comments?

Chintu! thanks for comments on last name. My passport shows full name ABC on given name line but npthing on surname line. CAIPS shows last name and First name everywhere in CAIPS, I have sent the passpoert anyway. Let us see what happens.
Best wishes

We have 2 sets of Fri+Mon which are public holidays in the UK, owing to Prince William's wedding this Friday followed by May first bank holiday on the Monday.

So basically:-
Friday 22nd April + Monday 25th April = public holiday
Friday 29th April + Monday 2nd May = public holiday

This means that CHC London will probably only be working 3 days this week, and some staff may have taken those 3 days off in order to get the entire 22nd April to 2nd May stretch off!
