Settlement Plan-Needed for Fam app?

I read on one of the threads here in the Fam Class, that it was a good idea to have a Settlement Plan to send with your PR App.

However, I can't find it anywhere on the CIC site in the Sponsor your Family section or in their "search" option.

Here, I searched and it seems to be for Provencial Nominees?

Anyone know more about this and/or where to find it?

It is not needed for the family application, but you need to convince CIC that you have a "plan" - so let them know what you will do to support yourself and your boyfriend, where you plan to live (if you don't have your own place, then get letters from people saying that they are willing to host you), if your boyfriend needs to move from the US, what steps he will need to take to move etc... so they can be convinced that you are prepared to live in Canada, and that you are serious about it - and that you have the means to support yourself and family, as they don't want you to go on welfare ( see the undertaking of sponsorship).

So - there is no formal document as such, but you can write a document (choose what form fits best for you) about what your plans are...

You are not obliged or obligated to submit a settlement plan with your PR Application, it is merely something to add to your file and IF you are called for an interview a settlement plan will be requested so to have a plan from the get go is beneficial and certainly wont harm your chances. How you intend to live in Canada and embrace the culture is something that would be looked in to if an interview is requested.

When completing an application anything that helps and shows your willing to go the extra mile to adapt to a whole new lifestyle might be a decisive factor when immigration make a decision on whether to grant a COPR or request an interview. So in answer to your question it is not required but as I see it, it would only be beneficial

No, it's not required for Family Class applications.

What is required for a spousal application is a clear outline of how your relationship developed from inception to marriage to any plans you have made for your future. It is most important to establish that you have a genuine, subsisting, conjugal relationship as this is the basis of your sponsorship application for residence in Canada. If you cannot establish that you have a genuine relationship that does not have as its primary objective your immigration to Canada, then for the purposes of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, you are not your spouse's "spouse" under that law.

What you want to focus on is establishing via documents, photographs and means of communication that you and your spouse are in a genuine relationship.

Actually a settlement plan is required if a Canadian citizen submits a spousal application while the sponsor is residing abroad.

I think more along the lines of what the new resident will do to embrace Canada. Learning the cultures, histories, provinces and how they intend to support themselves and family i.e survival job, specialist job any offers of employment as well as intentions on how your family will live. I think the key point is how a "foreigner" will immerse and adapt to a new lifestyle.

Basically you need to state, that once the spouse is issued a visa, that you will return to Canada. You include your plans as where you intend to live, plans for employment, plans for schooling for children (if any) and whether the spouse intends to enroll in ESL classes. Thats about it.

Hey I am a family class PNP applicant and I am requested to submit the settlement plan. Mu uncle is my sponsor... So you can have clue that most of the family class applicants are requested to submit the settlement plan.
