Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice regarding my Canadian citizenship application. I have been a Canadian permanent resident since 2019 and was employed full-time with the same company for 7 years. In May 2025, my wife and I incorporated two companies in Ontario, and I am listed as a director of both. However, my wife manages the business operations, and I am not actively involved in day-to-day activities or receiving any salary or dividends. I did sign the incorporation documents and a property purchase agreement on behalf of one corporation. When I renewed my PR card in September 2025, I only mentioned my full-time employment and did not include these directorships in my activity history. My PR renewal was subsequently approved. I am now planning to apply for Canadian citizenship and am concerned whether this omission could cause issues or be considered misrepresentation. Should I disclose the directorships in my citizenship application and include a Letter of Explanation regarding the previous omission, or would that be unnecessary? Has anyone experienced a similar situation or received professional advice on this?
