No idea, my background is in progress since january, I called them a wek ago and they said that it has not started yet. Lets hope for the best.

yea, I gave my medical upfront. It was marked 'completed' in January as well.

Finally an update. Medical exam marked as complete.

Background check now shows as in-progress.

Hopefully not too long now.

What happens if you're not in the country when the P1 or P2 email comes through?

Asking because we're planning on having our 2nd wedding reception for my in-laws and other people in our home country in March 2026. Wife will be travelling a month or two earlier in January or February. Also, my parents live in the US, and we visit them rather frequently (I used to live with them before getting married).

I'm hoping those emails come through by end of July given the current processing times based on June/July cases people are sharing.
If the P1 email comes when she's still in the US it's fine because she'd be able to come back within that 7 day window... but if it comes later in January or February 2026... that's going to be a problem.
