All I know is everyone gets a pre-arrival letter. Some still get rejected after, so it's not a guarantee that your application has approved (or rejected). All I can say is that your application is moving forward. The final decision is still up to the IRCC.

2. Employment/Source of Income: If you are not working in Canada? Anyone has Letter of Explaniation sample for it?

Yes. It usually takes 15 to 30 business days (more or less than a month), to get your passport back.
