Foreign travel combined with either unemployment or Self-employment is a major red flag unfortunately, as they like to use employment to help verify residency. In the worst case, they will ask for more proof. In most cases, it will just take time. Don't know if this is the cause for your delay, but it is a possibility.

Have you tried applying for case notes from IRCC or CBSA?

Yes I have applied for IRCC case notes, waiting for a response from them

Hi do any of the following apply to your situation: foreign travel, self employment or unemployment, test taken outside Canada or foreign travel after application, address mismatch between provincial ID and application, low income and/low tax returns/benefit claims of any kind (EI/CERB etc).

These are some of the red flags which can cause doubts about residency.

Otherwise can only blame IRCC incompetence for the delay.

In your case, background (criminality) isn't complete, so that's the holdup. Lengthy criminality wait without FP request isn't common. @ROCK ON is in a similar situation. Perhaps they can shed more light on the possible causes.

I finally received an oath invite! I am not sure if the tracker is still being updated but this is my timeline: (exact date for language and stuff is not accurate since I am unable to log in the tracker at the moment)

Anywhere between weeks to months. Depends on your processing office.

still the same. they keep saying its normal. routine application and processing time is 23 months.
