What's left on your application? Have you completed your test and background clearance?

Test is complete and is the only item showing complete, everything is in progress. We did finger prints back in Jan. My wife’s background check shows complete, mine still in progress along with all other items

My guess would be then that it's something related to your background check or security check. Only way to get more insight would be for you to order ATIP notes, you might see some additional info there. Go with the $5 option and expect that it'll take longer than 30 days.

Hi all,
When Hamilton office says “ we are waiting on our partners to process and pass your clearances to continue processing your application”, what does this mean precisely?

That probably means you're stuck in security screening because they are waiting to hear back from law enforcement agencies of other countries where you've traveled in order to complete your background check.

As others have suggested, you should make an ATIP request to CSIS, even though there is a $5 charge

+ how long do IRCC takes to decide and respond to urgent app requests?

It depends, but it can be as soon as one day. They tend not to let you know of your decision. You only know it's approved if your file suddenly starts moving quickly. After 3 weeks, you should follow up on the urgent processing request to get a status update.

Thanks. I did my test February 27th. Everything was completed & decision made on September 23rd.

I reached out to my MP and here's what they sent me

Your Citizenship Grant application is being processed at the Vancouver office.

• Your application was received on September 7, 2021.
• The criminality verification's are currently valid.
• The security verification's are currently valid.
• The knowledge test was completed.
• The language assessment was completed.
• The immigration verification's (Residency Obligations and Prohibition) have not been started.
• Due to COVID-19, IRCC is experiencing processing delays and we can’t provide you with accurate processing times for this application. Rest assured that we understand how important this process is for the applicant and are making all the necessary efforts to finalize the application as soon as possible.
• Please be note, we are well within processing delays of 25 months for this type application.

I'm not sure why they would say that Physical Presence and Prohibition is in Progress on the tracker if they haven't started it yet. IRCC never fails to surprise me.

Hey, I saw you mentioning that you called IRCC a couple of times. Does it mean the general IRCC office or your test office?

I haven't received any update since test completed in 3rd May 2022.. almost 6 months now

It gives two options: 1. Status update of file/reasons for refusal and officers electronic notes & 2. The App? Supporting docs and info send to/from IRCC.

I really want it in person, I don’t have to wait for the certificate after the ceremony.
