September 2021 - Citizenship Applications

It has been more than 2.5 month since I finish my citizenship test and status of citizenship test changed to completed. I am and still waiting for Language, prohibitions, physical presence to move to be completed. I called IRCC to inquire about my citizenship application today. The agent told me that my application is in progress. The agent did not able to provide any updates and told me that to wait because the current citizenship application processing time is 27 months. Anyone got any updates for citizenship application after calling IRCC recently?

IRCC Support guys have very limited information. They can see what we can see. I inquired about my Application and Oath and they said your application is approved and waiting for Oath Ceremony but when this is going to happen we dont know. Its your local office jurisdiction

BTW this is our timeline:

Send Application - March 3
Application back due to incomplete docs - March 23 and returned again March 28
Received AOR - May 3, 2022
Received letter requiring FP - July 13, 2022
But on the online status we require to complete our citizenship exam July 18 to August 8, 2022.

Yes, its normal to give your FP, check the nearest fingerprinting agency and take your ID and the paper provided in the email

I have done my oath on July 1st and status was updated to closed on 6th. waiting for my certificate to apply for passport..

Wow oath after 2 months ? I guess IRCC is just scheduling maximum applicants for oath to clear the backlogs

Fingerprint is related to background check and testing is a separate category. They have started doing many things in parallel these days.

Can I ask which city and/or province are you applying from?

Also from your post I'm assuming you applied by paper, Is that correct?

Yes everything was completed except the Oath Ceremony and on ECAS it was showing Decision Made.
So whatever they told me was the same that what I already knew

@Javeline I have checked my child status on Tracker. Now everything is in progress for her except Citizenship test and now its showing we are waiting on you for Oath

Took the test on May 25th and tracker updated on 26th. Other than background verification, everything else is in progress. Anyone knows how long until oath?

Is your application currently being processed at Scaraborough office ?
