Hi guys, Just received FP request email after two ghost updates on April 8th and 11th.

My processing office is Vancouver. I hope they are fast !

LOL they are the slowest office in all of Canada

It seems like fingerprint requests are sent from Vancouver even if the main processing office is not Vancouver.

Yes, I believe so. I applied from Winnipeg and submitted FP to Vancouver.

From my own experience, I went to my local police station (Winnipeg) and tell them I would like to do FP for my Canadian citizenship application.
Ensure to print and bring the instruction email IRCC sent you, the police station needs it to proceed.

Will they directly send the FP to iRCc?

I think you should call now because I've never heard anyone saying they receive email after the test window date. Also people said it was hard to connect to IRCC. Not sure about that because last time I called there was at option to call back, I called around noon. Anyway, good luck with your test

No, FP goes to RCMP first then the result will be sent to Vancouver IRCC.

Hi - So you got the test invite a day after the testing window started. How did you get to know the testing window dates? Do we get an email? My BG check was completed on April 11. Nothing after that. So wanted to check if I am missing something. Thanks

The York regional police told me that I will receive the FP report by mail from RCMP Ottawa, Which I will have to forward to IRCC.
Guess . this is also one of the valid steps.

I logged into my account and the tracker was updated to show the invite for the test and the test window (April 7) - no email or notifications received.
The next day I logged in again and noticed a new update date and BG was completed (April 8).
Last account update was on April 11, 2022 - no new updates to tracker.

Thanks a_tkd. If BG is complete, would you still get an FP request?
