Finally a good news from my end, We received PR confirmation web portal email to upload photos and confirming the current address. Though, status of the PR application still remain same i.e. in progress. Any idea how long will it to get the CoPR followed by card? BTY, My local office is Vancouver.
Hi, may i know your VO? Thanks

@legalfalcon please I'd like to confirm if I can still get updates on all my stages if I call IRCC when my file is at a local VO. I just found out my file has been moved from Ottawa VO via response to a CSE I raised.
IF your file is in Canada, you can call and ask for updates. If it is outside Canada, then you will have to rely on CSE and GCMS notes as you may not be able to get updates over the phone.

Why on earth would IRCC want photos by post mail when they have the option to allow people to scan and upload?!? Are they out of their minds
It is still ok to send photos by mail. But the problem is, for mail applications, it is taking 4+ months to get PR card while online uploads, it's 1 month. Not fair especially because it's random some are asked to upload and some are asked to send in the mail. No first come first serve.

Okay. Thank you. Please, how can I raise a CSE to a specific VO? I only see a general webform without location specified.

Usually the VOs have their own case specific form. If you do not have one, for the VO, then send it via the general one.

I was told that every stage was passed and only final decision was pending. This was a couple weeks ago. I’m wondering how long it would take for them to finalize my application. It just takes too long.

I requested GCMS notes a while ago and have finally received it. I passed all stages on 23rd April and have called IRCC several times since then to get update, but everytime I get the same answer that final decision is pending.

However, in the GCMS notes I see this
ASSESSMENTS
Eligibility: Passed
Security:
HIRV:
Criminality: Passed
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed
Misrepresentation:
Info Sharing: Complete
Other Reqs:
Final: Approved

Although security field is blank but IRCC representative confirmed all stages are complete. I'm just confused with this approved part, does it mean application is approved but representative can't see it yet?

CEC Inland
AOR: Sept 8th
All Stages Passed on April 23rd

@jacob97

Security will also be blank if it is in progress or passed.

Given that the Final is Approved, everything is done. However, there are many applicants who are waiting even after having all stages passed.

If you are an inland applicant, you just have to wait your turn. If you are outland, the wait can be longer.

Hello Sir,
Please I need your advice. I just got a re-medical instruction to be done in the next 30days.

The problem is that my medicals are still valid. My AOR is OCT 15, 2020. I did my upfront medicals on OCT 08, 2020 and passed my medicals on Nov 26, 2020. I still have about 5months to expiry.

I’m confused as what action to take. Kindly advise please.

Anyone with a similar issue?

Your medicals have to be valid when your application is being processed as well as when you land in Canada. IRCC cannot issue you COPR and PR visa beyond the validity of meds.

IRCC can ask for re-meds if your application cannot be processed / or it will be difficult for you to land within the available validity if the current meds.
