Hi everyone, I am still a newbie in this forum so apologies if anything is done out of the order.
After receiving my ITA, I submitted my application on September 27, 2019, and the last update was the review of medical results on October 23rd, 2019 and there hasn't been any update on my file after it. The progress bar says that it will take another 49 days due on March 27, 2020.
I had 462 points for my draw and tiebreaker rule was applied but I made through by sheer luck I guess.
Then things took a quick turn and I had to leave the job and go to USA for some personal reasons and currently in India my home country. I did update my file that I am no longer working for the company and the immigration department confirmed that they received the new information.
So right now I have no clue where I stand now with my file. Can someone help if they have any information regarding this.
I still have work permit till September 2020, so should I come back and wait till I hear something or hang tight in India.

This is a legitimate email. When an individual officer sends out an email, they usually send it via the general cic.gc.ca email is. Sometimes they forget to switch the sender and this is why it should as their personal email id.
Nothing to be concerned about, happens all the time.

Finding a job might not be very easy but I am sure I will get through after some initial struggle. Everybody I know has. I am in the Finance field, have been a banker before.yeah, it happens exactly the same to me. Now, I don't know what to do next after a lengthy waiting time
Do you think a PR will help us find a job easier? my major is Political Science, how about u?
If you know people in finance I would suggest to send them email or connect with through LinkedIn to see if they can recommend you. Start establishing your network now that you have time. More people you know equate to more opportunities.

Same day file was put into review required due to work experience ( shady employer misrepresented my status as self employed employee ) ( I filed case with CRA and MOL and won both, attached to application )
Exactly after a year of collecting dust ( ordered notes every month ),
Refusal: 5 July 2019. ( File was put in RR due to extra documents from CRA and MOL which were playing as a proof due to absence of employment letter. But refusal was due to point cut below threshold, regarding my construction license which I claimed points for and they did not awarded it, because license was not from federal body and is voluntary for that trade )

(According to notes, on 10 Oct, only Program assistant reviewed file and mentioned review required for statutory questions where I mentioned previous refusal.)
No updates afterwards.

Trying to call IRCC call center, and after going through keypad where automated system should tell me status of my case and after offer me an option to speak with an agent, I just hear silence. Don’t even tell me that error, that can’t find my application.
