Hi guys, what is the last step after passport request and after I receive it back? I assume I will receive my passport in the next week or so if all goes well. Do I need to wait to do an interview before I can move to Canada? I am asking since I'd like to know when I need to give notice to my employer, since we have to give 30 days notice. I would love to be able to give notice at the end of this month :) Hope everyone has a great week!

Once they return your passport, it will indicate the expiration date so you should be able to go to canada within that period.

I think the validity holds until the anniversary of your medical date. So you still have ample time :)

Hi everyone,

Anyone noticing a problem logging in to check application status? I usually use GC Key via a sign-in partner. Now when I click "Continue to sign-in partner", I'm re-routed back to the main immigration Canada page. Anyone else experiencing this and/or know a different path? (This is the only sign-in method that has worked for me so far...). Thanks!

Same, i think it can be a system glitch. You may want to retry again.

Although i did few clicks and was able to enter the site.

Looks like it's fixed now. Was hoping a good surprise was waiting there, but alas, still limbo land! :)
Lol, I'm always hoping for some type of update whenever there's system maintenance...but I should know better by now....Only thing that's changed is the useless progress bar

Hey everyone, I received my COPR recently (I'm an outland applicant), and am wondering if anyone can tell me if my spouse/sponsor needs to be with me when I first fly into the Canada to have my interview.

I’m assuming that’s not required, however when I was in the country visiting, I scheduled an appointment at an IRCC office to avoid driving to a land border (assuming I'd still be in the country visiting, but it was scheduled too far out), and they indicated my sponsor be present for that interview.

Wondering if any of you had the issue since most of the times our sponsors are already in Canada when we arrive.

Question to the September group . I received a request today from Mexico for an updated schedule A , fine that’s easy . The strange thing is we also received a request for a divorce certificate ? Neither myself not my husband has been married before , I will probably just write a letter and explain we have never been previously married , and children were born out of wedlock .
Have any of you received something like this? I find it odd because we indicated in the original app that we were both never previously married

Congrats!!!! No your spouse does not have to be there when you land , make sure available via telephone and waiting at the airport

I prepared myself to wait another couple of months for PPR, but it came this morning!!! Just wanted to post an update. My timeline is in my signature.
DM showed up at the same time on ECAS.
I really hope things are moving forward for September applicants. It's time!!! Good luck to everyone and thanks for all the great advice and support.
:) :D
