Hello everyone,

App received 20 Sep
AOR 20 Dec
Since than no update at all. No medical request no sponsorship approval.

Is that normal?
To be really honest with you , at this point I am not sure what is normal when it comes to this process haha! Everyone seems to be different not one application seems to be alike . In my husbands case we are at the medical passed stage and eligibility is in progress , but no file transfer email or notification. My advice is to never compare your app to anyone else as it will make you crazy. Good luck and keep us all posted.

That’s great news , I do hope ours was transferred as well. Medicals were passed Jan 20th. No biometrics for my husband as it was not required for his country when we applied . Like we have said before

if biometrics was not applicable to the PA at the time of filing , my understanding is that we will don’t need to pay or provide ? I may be wrong , however this is my understanding
I have previously read somewhere that everyone had to give biometrics now, regardless of when they submitted, but now that I have researched it a bit more and looked for official CIC info on this issue, it looks like you are correct. If not required at the time of submission, then biometrics will not be asked for later on.
Also, @gordiewow I apologize, I normally check things thoroughly before I write something here. It looks like you do not need to worry about biometrics. :)

That might be too soon, although everyone's file is different. Have you received one?
Yes . I got an email saying " to finalize your application send your passport, photos and other documents(if there is any change on information).
I didnt see any changes after medical passed. There was no background check or pre arrival letter or decision made. It was straight passport request. Maybe everything will be updated next week. But still I am surprised. Is there anyone with same situation?

No worries, that is good news! And I appreciate the helpful and specific link -- I missed that in my own Google search on the subject. Now just waiting for that medical request email :)
