I thought May was my month and it looks like I will hit the 1 year mark before i see anything :( ... Its sad really... Anxiety is right!... I haven't gotten much sleep since I got my bad news. It is a true nightmare. I pray that my sept folk hear something soon. We need a little good news amongst us!

Maria, I would just run to a channeler, order their report on the blue tamper proof paper thats sent to you in the mail and send that into Ottawa. All while you're in queue for the real FBI report, which will be printed on white paper and indistinguishable. That way if they accept the channeler report, the process will move on for you. If they don't accept it, then you haven't lost anymore time, then you would have if you continued to wait.

I still want to know why the Express Entry applicants can scan and email in their FBI report... Its complete BS that they are given special privilege! You damn well any know American with half a brain sees that option, isn't going to wait in the 14 week queue at the FBI, they're going to order the channeler report, because they look identical.

We e-mailed all the requested documents this morning.
Here is hope that June will be our month:)

Took a break from checking since the start of May and had a look today, still nothing, no dates next to the medical results have been received, if there's a date next to that, does that mean they have taken s look at your application?

:(

Would like to see some movement to all you guys, sure your feeling the same frustrations!

Landed on Sunday and it was at the Thousand Island port. It didn't take long at all. I didn't have my goods with me. I tried to change the sheet and it would not let me change the colors or anything. I hope every gets answers soon!

Maybe visa offices do it differently but London visa office for example normally has 2 lines in ECAS under the PR application, one being application received and the other being medicals received.

In my case CIC could not link my medical to my file (I know this from ordering notes). I sent a case specific inquiry attaching my medical info sheet and soon after ECAS was updated to say medicals received.

I guess Ottawa does it differently.

How do you your interview has been waived??

Is it by reading your notes or a deduction?

It is a deduction as most British applicants through London do not get asked to an interview.

It's been over 6 months since I last checked in since SA (11/17/2014)... I see we are all gnashing our teeth at frustration at he CIC. :-/

I posted this to the US Outland thread but I'll post this here as well since we're members of the September 2014 cohort...

Today my common law partner got an email from the Ottawa VO requesting "Stat Dec of Common-Law IMM5409: A signed and completed Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union form (IMM 5409) bearing original signatures This must be received at this office by: 2015/06/26"

1) What the heck? We did not include this form at the very beginning because it was very clear in Guide 3900 regarding IMM5409: "This form must be completed and signed by the sponsor and common-law partner, only if the latter is a co-signer on the application" and "If you are sponsoring your spouse or common-law partner, you cannot have a co-signer." Also in Document Checklist IMM5491, it says "Original of completed Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM 5409), if you have a co-signer and he or she is your common-law partner." What gives?

2) Assuming that they want this form regardless, we are in a conundrum as we are currently travelling in Indonesia and our return tickets are not until after 2015/06/26. There is no Canadian embassy anywhere near, but there is a US embassy. Will they accept a signature from a US consular person?

3) A further question, on IMM5409, who is the "declarant" and "declarant's partner"? CIC made the document request directly to my US common law partner (she was the one who received the email), so I assume she is the one who has to send the document back as the declarant, and I as declarant's partner?

Thanks in advance to any and all that can help...

GOOOOOD NEWSSSSS!!!

I got this email today at 3:39PM EST from Ottawa

" This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Proof of Relationship: Document proving your relationship with your inviter/family member Proof of relationship: additional documents proving your relationship with your sponsor. This includes but is not limited to: outing and wedding pictures, e-mail exchanges, cards, identity documents showing same address, insurance policies, wills, anything naming your partner as beneficiary, documents showing travel together, documents showing joint ownership of possessions, joint mortgage/loan/rental agreement/bank accounts, etc. This must be received at this office by: 2015/06/26

Please note - photos can be scanned to paper, if you prefer not to send originals. We will accept the copy of your FBI report as it does appear that you have previously submitted the original."

I don't care why they want more pictures or chat logs or anything. I preparing it TODAY.

I am just SOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPPPYYYYYYYYYY they are accepting the copy of my FBI report! .... I cried for 10 mins when I read that. Tears of happiness! ...!!!

Tomorrow my husband will call the MP again and we will forward them this email. Maybe they can't find the 500 pages of proof I sent in but I don't care honestly. the FBI report was the biggest thing holding us back.

QUESTION: I can email all this proof right? Does anyone have any experience with that? I am thinking of making a PDF file with pictures / chat logs / cards etc.. and emailing it to them.

Also - Should I be sending my original marriage certificate? They seem to be asking for that document again. I already sent 2 certified copies and a scanned copy. So I wasn't sure?

Thanks guys!

Amazing news Maria!!!

I would copy, Scan and upload the files to a PDF and email it over. I sent loads too (we are not married but been together 7 years) sent all our flight/holiday confirmations of our trips, bank statemenTs, wedding/christening invites and pictures of family events etc.

Fingers crossed it all goes through for you

I'm hoping we hear something soon! Getting nervous now! ;D
