Got my note on Monday, same situation as yours, except due date has passed, mine is Jun 9, 2016. Today got decision made without any letter or email , freaking out now, are they going to reject my application??

I think you will get an email requesting for the passport very soon (less than a week). During my application process, I wasn't checking my ECAS daily and never requested notes. After I got the passport request email, I checked ECAS and it said decision made. So I don't know exactly how long it takes for passport request after decision has been made but I know it was less than a week for me.

As for freaking out, I don't think you have any reason to be worried. Things are always slow with CIC but they have been processing the backlog for sometime now. I request everyone waiting to be patient. And please refrain from posting things that might discourage others who are waiting for the PR. Last thing we want is someone losing their sleep over something that isn't exactly true.

Sometimes I wonder why ours cant be processed as fast as others who are applying now :-(
Anyways, congratulations of decision being made!

I believe it is passed and you will receive PPR email very soon. If you are still very worried, I think you can link your application to online account. Usually you can see what the decision is in it.

hello

Please lemme know the process of the particular notes?
I have GkKey.Is it same as what you got?
How do i link it?

Took a closer look at my GCMS notes today.
I noticed that Security cases were done even before eligibility, criminality and medicals were passed.

The VO notes say that "OK for RFV Check" and the file was transferred to RFV Check and then back to CEC Pending. Does anyone know why?

I am waiting for my PPR.

My wife is pregnant now in her third trimester, with due date on 15-sep.

I have a question, can we do landing if we get our PPR before the delivery of our baby.
Or is there any rule that says you can not do landing when you are pregnant.

seniors, Please advise.

Babu Sahib,

Are you in Canada already? I am not an expert on what the laws are but I am guessing if you are in Canada, you should be fine doing the landing anytime. However, if you are outside Canada, I am not sure what the restrictions are around travelling on an international flight during last stages of pregnancy. I know that usually doctors do not allow travelling in the 8th and 9th month. So in my opinion, your landing procedure should not be affected.

Having said that, the best course of action would be to check with CIC to be safe and the airlines with whom you are planning to travel if outside Canada.

Some informative links for you to look at:

Thanks for the reply pkssandhu.

I am in Canada in Toronto, so we should be good for landing

I received my GCMS and it states that medical re-assessment were sent and medical shows in progress. However, I have not received any email for this.

I called up the call center two times to get this clarified and they confirmed that the file is complete and just waiting for final officer review. I insisted on the medicals point and they confirmed that no action is required from my side and I just have to wait and decision could come anytime now.

I am in a fix now.... do I take up the upfront medicals for re-assessment ? or just wait ? please advise....

The ECAS also does not show any update for this...

I would contact your local MP and have them contact CIC and get an answer. This is the fastest way to clarify your concerns.

MP ? how to find one and how to approach him / her ?
can you please elaborate more on this ?
