I changed my job in June 2015 (as soon as I could quit, I did it) and didn't know if I should inform CIC or not... So I only sent them an email with my contrat and letter of employment on January 9th 2016... They acknowledge reception of my email though

Hi Guys,

I did my job change last year May 2015 but didn't update to CIC since my assumption was CIC is only concern about our employment during the qualifying period.

Now I checked my AOR email & it says we need to inform CIC regarding employment change.

Do I need to inform them or it's too late (more than 6 months are already over) ?

My timeline is in left...Waiting for MR...

Hi Kota,

You have to inform them so if you haven't please do so now before it's too late for you to give the negligance excuse. Email them right away. Attached your job letter and recent pay stubs. Just say sorry for missing on informing earlier.

Do you think it might happen in my case? I though CIC only cared about the job you had before submitting your application, as what happens after isn't relevant to your PR...? Now I definitely regret not sending all these papers earlier. I haven't sent my paychecks, just the Contract and Letter describing my tasks...

I always told CIC about my changes in employment, simply because I wanted to be honest and tell them where I am at, regardless whether this was a requirement or not. I think, you can always tell them. This is also why for some they ask for a new Schedule A. They never asked me to update Schedule A, I think, because I kept them informed all the time.

As long as you haven't faked any document and informed CIC abt your job change you are good. In the AOR Mail thy ask you to update CIC. They should ask you for any document they need. sending upfront saves your time and their time may be. You got their acknowledgement n it should also b there on gcms. You are good.
Good luck

Thanks! I am just getting more and more nervous as time goes by... I am now trying to apply for a BOWP renewal and it is quite stressful...!
I also ordered my GCSM on January 6th, it's been 33 calendar days, hoping to have them today or tomorrow... :/

I think it would be ok , but change Job totally different would be risk

1, when they check your refer letter, they are actually try to find evidence to be convinced, this experience is enough for you to survive in Canada. and this experience is real .

if you use jobA apply, but 1 month later, you shift to jobB , why, they may guess, because you can't get A job again maybe.

and , Canada only try to attract person who qualify jobA not B .

2. when you fill some form , in my memory , there is a field which used to describe which job you intend in future. I think VO do consider the affection for CA's job market when accept you.

3. if you ask a immigration Lawyer , you possible get suggestion, try best under same job title .

in short , shift job, maybe increase chance for VO to question your job experience's reality .

In my case it is a switch to a better job (from NOC 4166 to NOC 0651), still in a French speaking environment, still in administration and education but with more responsibilities and a way better salary... However I am currently having some really big issues with my former employer, had to take a lawyer and fill tons of complains, so this is what might be an issue for me.

I don't remember filling any case regarding a job in the future though!

No. Many people need to submit Schedule A again. I think, they just like to be up to date about your current work situation, relationship, etc., etc.
It's just a general update of your life and status so to speak. I wasn't asked for schedule A so far because I always kept CIC up to date myself. Maybe they will still request it though. I don't know.

It is normal of asking docs which are not clear or they want latest update from you. Fill and send it ASAP.

if I am you, I would worry too, you know CIC can do call investigation, if your boss just be rude and say , no record about this person, or something else, your old boss do have chance to make you in trouble.

but now, I didn't see any real problem happened. if lucky they maybe never call your boss . so , just apply GCMS as you can , if they really call your boss, it would have some record on it .

Just wondering did I miss something on first form or they found something objectionable... Its been a while when I filled that form it will take me a while to remember all the exact dates do you think they will be trying to match word to word information on previously filled form and current one ?
Another question how would I send copies of supporting documents ? ( i mean employment letters, mark-sheets, degrees and all stuff) because they are asking me to email the form.

I actually had to fight to get my T4, and submitted a complain at the CRA. They recognized me as employed according to my contracts, and made my T4 themselves. Now we are fighting regarding the deductions etc. What is good is that the CRA has everything on their files, and I have a lot of proofs on my side.
I asked to get my GCSM and should have got them yesterday, if I don't get them before tomorrow morning I will send them a request to know where it is!
Thanks a lot, I know this process is very stressful for everyone, I tried to apply to EE but only got 350 points... So I am stuck here!

I would say YES both should be accurate in dates coz old form will be there with your file until they receive one so there is a chance to compare but I feel they do it intentionally. But not sure though. In anyways you have to send the one so do it ASAP.
