September 2014 - CEC Applications

Hi,

Sept.2 Applicant here. Received the RPRF request this morning as well. I've done upfront medical back in June 2015, so technically, this would be the next step, if I'd been considered admissible...
But seeing how a lot of people received this email this morning, (and there have been a speculation of system error?), I can't be too optimistic.
I'm going to wait for a day or two and see what develops, then pay the fee. After all, I'll need to pay this anyways in the future.

Here's my hunch on this whole thing: As some of you have suggested, I think this is a batch email, and this is a legit request from CIC, except for those who have already paid the fee, or landed. For some people who haven't received this email, maybe their applications are in second review? The email says that my application has been decided admissible, presumably based on the eligibility assessment (but not security or criminality etc). So maybe this batch email is sent out to the applicants whose eligibility has been assessed as "Passed"? I would suggest you to confirm with CIC the status of your application, if you haven't received this email.

Well I didnt receive that email ...and I cannot see how my application could be in second review as it is fairly straightforward. I hope that is not the case

Did your Client Application Status added another line of RPRF request or..??? whoever got RPRF request!!

I got the RPRF email too.

I haven't paid yet but probably will later this week since we have 30 days to do so.

Just wondering if anyone is planning to do medical upfront soon or are people still going to wait for the official request?

hey, i'm thonkingg to pay rprf as per in the email in the morning, and if I don't get the mr by end of January, i will go ahead and do upfront

Yeah, I might have been wrong on this one. I read on another thread that the batch email was sent due to a mistake someone made in CIC. With all the mixed up information floating around right now, no one knows what's going on...

I am Sep 15 applicant, I didn't receive RPRF email...worried now.... :'(

ECAS is updated on Tuesday - if this was a legitimate request, should we get a line tomorrow?
Is this a practice to get an update in ECAS when you receivables RPRF?

ok, just received another email from CIC saying that the previous RPRF request email was an error and to disregard it.

So much for keeping our hopes up! lol
