Hi Guys,

I am September,2014 and i received my AOR in 23 Jan,2015, just wondering what is the best time to apply for GCMS notes?

:'(

Please suggest, is it good to apply in May?

Hi AK84

We are expecting that there should be activity on September 2014 applicants in May and considering that it takes 1 month to deliver the notes, I would agree with you to apply in May.

Cheers,
P.

better to check Aug. process timeline, if they started on time around April would be, then apply in May would be reasonable ,

Did you receive an email from CIC stating that your application was accepted? If you have then I wouldn't worry too much and if you have not then I am not too sure what is going on.

In either case, I would send an enquiry email to CIC and also call them. Hopefully, one of these routes should yield results.

Good luck.

Yes, i received my AOR very first week of february, but still not able to access my ecas.

CIC just requested RCMP certificate.

I had done this one RCMP check back in late July last year. I wonder if I can submit that or got to do a new one. Any idea, anyone? Maybe I should be asking this question in the July/August thread. :D

How and when you got this request from CIC?

A few minutes ago. It's an email request.

Hello guys,

I applied through the CEC on September 2nd, 2014 and received my AOR email in January, 2015. Today I got another email from CIC saying the following:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Ø Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints. Please consult the following website for detailed instructions.

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THIS DOCUMENT, PLEASE DISREGARD THIS REQUEST. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITH FURTHER INSTRUCTION ONCE A VISA OFFICER HAS REVIEWED YOUR APPLICATION.

I had already submitted the RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints along with my application. The check was only 2 weeks old at the time of submission.

Did any one else received similar email? Should I send a new check or do I disregard this request as per the email? Can I call the CIC call center regarding this?

Regards

I think you're good as long as it was not more than 3 months old at the time of submission.

Just now I also got similar email , I am Sep 15,2014 applicant. I had submitted my PCC through Canada post last month although I didn't get any confirmation from them, what should I do in that case.

Hey All,

I am new to this forum...

I just received RCMP certificate request as mentioned above.

Any idea how to get this done from India, as I am currently in India.

Hi guys
Is this RCMP thing for every applicant or is it on Random basis ?
Getting an RCMP thing .. is it a positive sign for people receiving it ?

Hi..

I got email to ask for

Ø Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints. Please consult the following website for detailed instructions.

My doubt is I have submitted PCC (police Clearance Certificate) although it was not having anything related to finger prints & I got it from BLS canada. Is above requested RCMP Certificate (Subject line) is same or not??? Expert advise please!!!!

PCC and RCMP check, both are different. PCC is from India and it was been submitted. Then RCMP is Canadian one. You have to do this now.

One of the applicant from October thread also received RCMP request today. :) :) :)

I believe it is just on random basis, so there is nothing to worry even if you haven't received the request. My application reached to CIC on September 2 (I'm in August 2014 spreadsheet...), and I haven't received any RCMP requests.

It's good to know these things nevertheless, since we know they are working on our applications! :)
