It looks like CIC just changed form IMM5406 in September 2013. Now there is only one signature needed at the end of the form in section D.

@ DutchCanadian did you also get an AOR earlier or just the SA?

I received AOR on September 14 and SA September 24. SA was given a few days earlier than the estimated time on CIC website, but not much. It did take just over a week to receive AOR from when tracking said it got there.

Thanks. There seems to be a problem with the calculations. For DutchCanadian it displays 11 days for AOR. But Sept 6 to Sept 14 are only 8 days?

Great.... Just our luck.... He's already submitted the copy and I express snail mailed him the hard copy earlier for $20.... $20 to mail one piece of paper.... Just. Ugh.

I fixed the issue. 2 cells did not contain the correct formula.

Interesting, they didn't bother to sent me an AOR, only got an SA. I was starting to get worried towards the 24th. I did have tracking confirmation, but didn't get the signature option. So I wouldn't have a specific person to point to if they didn't get it. Luckily i got the SA in time.

Congrats! Did you receive the SA today?

Yes we were confused on that part too!

I am the Canadian and have two children from my first marriage. It said you must list all children including step children. So we listed them. But then it says to sign if you don't have any natural or adopted children. Well, they aren't his natural or adopted children. It also said if nothing listed in Section B you had to sign. But we wrote my children in section B. So he didn't sign that section.

Not sure if we did it right or not?

can anyone tell me if we made a mistake by not signing?

I got a bit confused when I first read your post, but it made sense after I read it twice. I think you are correct to not sign. I think the point of the signature is to make you clearly state you don't have any children (natural/adopted/step).

I think the validation they do is that if Section B is blank signature is required.

Hi and welcome to our group! I've added you to the spreadsheet!

hello. if they send us the AOR does it means that the application we submitted is complete? or we still need to wait for the SA? just want to make sure everything is going smoothly :)

According to these status explaination a the verification for completeness happens after they sent the AOR. At least that's my understanding.
