I assume they check the application for completeness. I would assume once AOR is sent put the will only ask for additional documents in case something is still missing and not return the complete application for resubmission. I'm not sure though. This is just my opinion

Maybe some more experienced board members can help.

Do you know if they also check for requirements such as marriage certificate/birth certificate/passport copy?

Based on the CIC website (see below) it says 23 days is a average time for Assessment of sponsor. If you don't have an AOR today, I would call next week to see whats going on.

Hello everyone!

I am new on this forum . I don't even know if i am posting where I support to. This is my situation, my partner is sponsoring me . I have a Spanish nationality but i live in London , so our application has been send to the London embasy. My question is about the processing time. I have currently received this email after requesting an update of my application "Please be advised that your application has been approved and your Confirmation of Permanent Residence document was today sent to the following address".
What is the next step ?
How long will it still take ?
Would I need to send my passport?
Is that the end of my application?

Please I am new on this help please !

You should post this on its on own new thread. Most of us here are just beginning the process as have just applied this month.

Wow, the overall number of days for AOR is surprisingly low!, minor things like this I'm sure raises everyone's spirits

They also seem to be working weekends. I guess they are spending time trying to speed up the applications as much as they can!
