September 2013 Application - PLEASE HELP!

Hello Guys!

My relative sent my application at around the first week of September. I haven't heard any notification that the institution received my application. Should i expect a letter or any sort of notification stating that they have received my application? If i should, what is the estimate time that i will? Is there any way also for me to track my application just using my name? My relative is a bit uncooperative now a days.

Mine took 2 months to hear any news (acknowledgement of receipt). Cant track it unless it was sent by registered mail with tracking number.
