. CIC explained that "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.". More details can be shown in Help Centre on CIC.
PER	:	Positive Eligibility Review - An email which shows your file number and so on. It will be sent from CIO if your application passes the initial eligibility review. See the other thread titled "What is PER", a senior's website or this pic for more details.
AOR	:	Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details. You can also see the 2nd AOR from Vienna Visa Office (Thanks Doni!)
MR	:	Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment. Manila Office seems send MR together with 2nd AOR. (Tanks rhen ongsico for the information!)
PPR	:	Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of the passport request and then you can go landing directly and immediately.

PER	:	Positive Eligibility Review - An email which shows your file number and so on. It will be sent from CIO if your application passes the initial eligibility review. See the other thread titled "What is PER", a senior's website or this pic for more details.
AOR	:	Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details. You can also see the 2nd AOR from Vienna Visa Office (Thanks Doni!)
MR	:	Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment. Manila Office seems send MR together with 2nd AOR. (Tanks rhen ongsico for the information!)
PPR	:	Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of the passport request and then you can go landing directly and immediately.

Hello hamad0313,
If you would like to get a Post Graduate Work Permit, you don't need an Arranged Employment Opinion.

If you are currently working with Post Graduate Work Permit, and you would like to apply under FSW, you must require LMO, not Arranged Employment Opinion.
* FSW rule will be changed from 4th May 2013 and Arranged Employment Opinion will be invalid. The new FSW rule must affect all applications that CIC will receive after 3rd May.
** Also, LMO will have change that will affect all employers and foreign workers. More details can be viewed in http://canadaworkpermit.com/wp/2013/04/revisions-to-canadas-temporary-foreign-worker-program/.

I recently sent my application for FSW which has been reached CIO on 29th April, 2013. I will be probably in last lot to send application to CIO before May 4 in arranged employment category. Thanks everyone for your help on this thread.

they have asked me few question about my job duties and since when i m performing this job
then they asked same question to my co-worker
then they have observed the task which i perform in my job duties, like they have seen the demonstration of my work

they just took 10 to 12 minutes

hi, guys i m sendin my passport with medical reciept n landin fee to Canadian consulate, New Delhi, India. wanna knw how i can get my Passport back here in Canada? what will b my options n which will b d safest? is VFS can do ds kindda services?

Hi eshotel,

The safest way is to ask your friend or relative to bring your passport from India if they are coming to Canada. You cannot post passport from India to another country because of security reasons. Write down one letter to immigration officer and state that you want to receive your passport at your Indian home address and put this letter with your passport and medical receipt and then send it to India.
I am not sure about this so please clear this point that why are you sending landing fees with your passport to India?
I think you have to pay this fees when you enter/re-enter to Canada at Canadian border.
Please verify this and also let me know.

When I send the application to CIC, I didn't have any property to put as Asset (just a car), but now I managed to buy a flat and the question is, in your opinion, would it be better to send the property documents to the VO now?
