hey everyone! i submitted our application on september 27! feeling a little nervous but have never felt so relaxed! my husband and i have been working on this for five months! we had intended to submit everything by july but getting rcmp clearances took so long! we had no idea that we could actually get his clearance done in canada and receive results in 3 days! but anyway, all that's done now. good luck to everyone! this forum has helped us a lot with our numerous questions!

Montreal is our most likely destination, but for the past decade we've lived in the US, and before that we were in Moscow in the 1990s (where we met in 1994 when I was there working on a Master's degree in Russian). Even before the Canadian immigration process we spent a lot of time on visas (for me to stay in Moscow) and immigration (for my wife to move to the US).

Hi all, I sent my application to Mississauga on Tuesday via XpressPost but it turns out it hasn't been delivered yet according to the online tracking info. Have you had any problems with Canada Post? It was supposed to be delivered by Thursday. I am getting very worried now.

I haven't been able to get hold of my husband and nobody knows where he is :'(
I've been calling like crazy but he doesn't pick up. Last message was to a friend this morning (8 hours ago) now his phone rings 4 times and goes to voicemail.

I'm sorry Lunas. It's hard dealing with this stuff. Stressful for both of you. Keep calling. Communication must continue! He may have just needed a break from it all. I know I wanted to throw in the towel a few times myself. All I can say is lots of grace is needed, both in the giving and recieving.

lunas that is an awful feeling....and it has happened to many of us here.....I am sure all is well and he will be in touch with you shortly. Hang in there is will be okay.....this is such an overwhelming and stressful process that everything seems worse than it is. Chin up

We sent in our application to Mississauga on August 29th. My wife (principal applicant) application is from India and i(sponsor) am from Toronto. Called the good folks of CIC a week ago and they told me that they are currently processing the files that were submitted on July 12th, 2012 and that i should check back around mid November.
