Sorry if this is a repetitive question, but I wanted to know when I will be able to log in to E-cas

I tried today with the receipt number IMM 5401, but it doesn't work.

Also I remember having this issue when I printed that form, I didn't know whos info to write on there, if it was mine (sponsor) since I paid for them, or if it was my husbands info, and now I forgot which I ended up putting on there, plus we didn't keep a copy...

I tried to call the CIC call centre and I can't even get through today... any advice anyone?

I am getting so anxious!

It works this way at the sponsorship stage:

You put in your info, if the message says update unavailable, that means, your application is still pending for review

Once a decision is made, you'll see two tabs "decision made" and "application received"

under decision made, it'll tell you:

When application was received
A decision has been made
A letter has been sent about the decision

under application received, it'll tell you:

We received your application for permanent residence on xxxx-xx-xx

About the Online Receipt if you paid online

I am not sure about this but if you have paid online you might have got a number starting with R....
I dont think this is IMM 5401

- All visa forms have thier form number, version in the bottom. This online receipt does not have any form number and just says Official Receipt

- When you paid I dont think you entered any identification information. So this receipt does not say from whom it has been received.
I think the linking is done by the CPC

- As per the ECAS

You will find this number on the document that was filled out and stamped when you paid your fees at a financial institution or on the official receipt you obtained when you paid your fees on the Internet. Your "Receipt Number (IMM 5401)" starts with a letter, followed by nine numbers. (Example: B000000000).

I tried with the R number a lot but could not
may be they have not yet started processing

I just want to point out, that it would have been nice to get our first approval for September today, but if we do not get today, do not be too anxious as tomorrow is Remembrance Day in Canada, and I dont think government workers will be working tomorrow (including CIC). So for sure, next week will be our turn (finally!)

Can anyone tell me ideally when does the ecas starts working for an either a sponsor or an applicant? is it after you get your sponsor approval? or is it when they open your file at cic?

So i believe a couple folks may wanna call CPC-M and see whats going on as we have a few that are past due based on the most recent approved

Hi to everyone,cpc mississauga reveived my application sept 7.Today i received an e-mail saying i have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor.The application has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.One happy day for me and my wife in cuba

Congrats to that person! I'm anxiously awaiting ours. Our application was received on the 2nd... I'm constantly checking my email to no avail. and getting really impatient now I called yesterday and she wouldn't even check the system for me just kept saying, "the website says they are working on apps received on Aug 31." Ugh.. why couldn't she just check, yanno? This wait is killing us.
