Can sons/daughters apply for citizenship, separately and earlier than parents after staying in Canada for 3 years without leaving the country for even a single day? Parents sometimes have to travel outside Canada a few months a year so it will take longer to meet the accumulative 3 years requirement for citizenship application.

Thanks

A Canadian Permanent Residents must have lived in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before applying for Canadian citizenship. If the children are above 18 years they can apply individually for citizenship, if they meet the residential requirement. The parent can apply when they also qualify to the mandatory requirement of 1095 days in four year period.
