Sent the Spouse outland application- Few questions popping my head- Help!!

Hi All

I have finally sent the application yesterday via Canada post.

However, I think I made a few minor mistakes in my application (probably I did not notice this in the guide before). Just got to see it now:

1. In form IMM 1344 in section C - The last two fields- "Length of Undertaking and ID Number"- I believe I had mentioned "Not applicable" There.. I m not quite sure though if I left it blank or written Not applicable. Is this a big problem if I had mentioned NOT APPLICABLE. I noticed int he guide Now saying that "Leave the fields empty. It is for office purpose" - Please need your suggestions.

2. In IMM 1344 B--> The guide says "Photocopy of the sponsorship agreement" - But I had sent the original one with my signature and my spouse signature (Principal applicant) on it. --? Is this fine???

Please guys.. get back to me with your input.. I m bit worried after such a long hard work.. I wanted to send the perfect applicaiton.. still some minor things keep popping my head now..

Thanks alot Iarblue.. probably i m just bit too nervous and looking at minute of details.. I hope they dont send my application back for this? Probably I hope they can re-write on "Not applicable" or write below or where ever there is some space for those details..

We sent the original and they sent it back with the sponsorship agreement stating that they had kept a copy for our file and that we should have the original. I hadnt even realized it wasnt right. It was no problem.

same with me.. I did not realize that I had to send a photocopy.. I hope they dont return back the whole application for such small errors right?

Correct, they did not return our whole application. When they sent the letter stating that I had been approved as a sponsor they sent the original agreement (just the one piece of paper) back so that we would have it.

The Sponsorship Agreement is actually a "contract" between the sponsor and the applicant, which is why you keep the original and just send them a copy. As others have said, it's not a big issue - they'll make a copy and send your original back. Lots of people miss that instruction. As far as writing in a field that you're not supposed to - not a deal breaker. They'll probably just white out your "N/A" so they can fill in the space with whatever they're supposed to put there.

Just remember - what you're experiencing is normal. All of us have second-guessed what we included, what we wrote, and how we filled out the forms, AND most of us have also found things we missed . . . some that were important and others not so much. Usually the only thing CPC-M sends an application back about is when you forget to sign somewhere, or when you don't include proof of the medical exam (or sometimes criminal clearances) without including a cover letter explaining why they aren't there. I don't think I've ever heard of the overseas office sending back an application - they normally send you a letter telling you what you forgot to include and ask you to submit it to them within a certain amount of time.

So, the wait begins. Try not to stress too much over it and hope for smooth processing, as we all do.
