Sent the outdated forms in our inland package. What happens now?

Hello everyone,

Me and my sponsor (wife) sent our inland application package in August 2016. We just realized CIC updated the "Generic Application Form" in August 2016 as well, and also the "Application to Sponsor" form in July 2016. Unfortunately we included the outdated forms in our application package.

What happens now? Are they gonna return the whole application to us or will they just be nice to us about it since the day we sent the application is pretty close to the updates on the website?

Any answer would be helpful.

Edit: Just realized they updated the form for the work permit in August as well. Why does it always rain on me?

Edit: Just realized they updated the form for the work permit in August as well. Why does it always rain on me?

1. IRCC usually sends the whole package back, if the forms are not correct.

when I sent my application the forms were not out dated however by the time someone looked at the file one form had been updated and CIC sent an email to me to send an updated form. They did not return the application however I had to wait 47 days for them to look at the file again.

1. Yours is a different situation. The forms became outdated after you sent them, the OP sent outdated forms to start with.

Call CIC and ask if you can send the updated forms.

It is pointless to send new forms until you hear from CIC as they will not look to find your application. You need to wait until they contact you regarding your application.
