I posted my application to CIC on Feb 16th and it arrived at CIC on Feb 24th. Counting 62 days processing time from this date of receipt (family class sponsorship), I should have received SA last Monday, but I have heard nothing. I haven't even received AOR yet.

Are the 62 days processing time for sponsors working days only (mon-fri), or does it include weekends too?

Does anyone know why I haven't heard anything yet? Has anyone else who posted their application on 16th Feb received either AOR or SA?

I'm starting to worry now...

Give them a call for an update.

Did you try calling CIC call center?
They will be able to tell you if they got your app, started to process it, etc.
You may also get a UCI # from them, or at least the file #.

You might have just forgot to include your email address, so there is no reason to worry.

call them. i'm almost 100% positive you have your SA. for some unknown reason many Feb. applicants haven't received either AOR or SA.
we must have gotten in a "no need to notify these folks" pile at cic.

I agree call them and see what is going on and let us know how you make out with them.

CIC's new categorized filing system lol ;D

Chris.

What is AOR and SA?

AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt
SA = Sponsorship Approved.

The 2015 Spreadsheet in my signature has a page of acronyms.

Appreciate it mate, thank you!

Chris.

I have tried to call the only phone number I can find on the CIC website, which is the Call Centre number 1-888-242‑2100, but whenever I call, I get a message saying that the "call cannot be completed as dialled, please hang up and try again".

I also tried calling Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada, on 1-613-944-4000, which is something someone advised on this forum, and I followed loads of options and eventually the automated machine just told me they were experiencing high call volumes and then hung up.

I'm starting to freak now! Does anyone know how to call these people?! Do I have the right number?

Lots of people are saying my application may be lost, so I'm worried now! :-[

One thing I noticed, a few of the ones who didn't receive SA got held over in CPC-M and were processed there. I am not sure where I am yet (It *might* be Ottawa, but I am not sure)

That's the right number. You are calling from inside of Canada correct .

The 613 number is correct for people outside of Canada, but you have to try right away when they open or you'll probably get just what you are getting now...or just be persistent and try over and over again...
