Sent out the Application On Dec 12 /2012 , when I can expect the acknowledgement

I sent out the citizenship application on Dec 12 2012. The express mail record shows that they receive the mail on Dec 14 2012. When I can expect to receive my receipt. I try to use my receipt number and permanent resident card number to check the E-CAS. There is no record. Can anybody give me somehlep. Do I need to wait for three months to receive the acknowledgement of receipt.

I took me 30-31 business days for e-CAS to change and another 10 to get my study guide in the mail. So, if the time is the same for you, you should see e-CAS change by the end of January and you should have the guide in hand mid-February.

Call CIC ask the agent what date of applications received they are opening...it will give you an idea of how soon you will hear from them.

Apparently I had used an old version of the application without the proof for language proficiency.
Does anybody know how much time it takes for resubmitted application to be reviewed?
Do they take the same 2 months to look at the resubmitted application?

Yes its a fresh application and so it will be the same 6-8 week acknowledgment timeline. Check CIC website for current version of the citizenship application form there was a change in Jan 2013.

Whew! We have the same date when CIC received my mail: December 14, 2012.

So far, I can't access/check my application online, neither had received any letter from them.

I will update you guys if there is any development on my application.

I called CIC call center today. The agent told me that it is normal. they just start to process the application received at the begining of December. she told me that I would wait for probabaly for another month to receive the AOR letter.

Hi Guyz!!! I haven't received a letter yet, but the good news is I can access my application status now via online.

They said that they've recieved my payment and application last December 14, 2012 and they started to process my application last February 20, 2013.

I will post again if I already received the Discover Canada magazine.
