Hi all, I was wondering if you could help me with this.

I submitted my application for the inland spousal sponsorship with the OWP application. I sent it via Express Post through Canada Post. Canada Post says it got to the Large Volume mail room but I have not been able to link the application or get any other information on the progress of the application or even a notification that it was accepted.

I sent it off one month ago today. Should I be worried? Is there anything I can do.

Personally, I would have sent it via a 'proper' courier, like UPS, FEDEX etc. I NEVER trust Canada Post with anything that is important.

No.

It takes CIC between 2 - 3 months to issue an acknowledgement (AOR1) with your application number, until then you would be lucky to be able to link as AOR1 is normally generated once they set you up on their system.​

That's normal. It can take up to 3 months to receive AOR.

No. That's what the AOR is. It gives you the file number and instructs you on how to link the application to the online account.

I wouldn't worry too much. It shouldn't take three months but mine too about five-six weeks to get my aor. Just a little longer now, so try not to worry too much!
