Hi Friends,

I am preparing my full application for CHC SINGAPORE,

I have a question, My Uncle is Canadian Citizen (My Mother's Real Brother) and I am going to attach:

Mother's Passport (With Father's Name)
Mother's 10th Class Certificate (With Father's Name)
Mother's Higher Education Certificate (With Father's Name)

Uncle's Canadian Passport
Uncle's Canadian Driving Licence
Uncle's Canadian Citizenship Card
Uncle's Care Card
Uncle's 10th Class Certificate (With Father's Name)
Uncle's Higher Education Certificate (With Father's Name)
Uncle's Recent Household Utility Bill

Their Father's Canadian Passport copy

Now out of the above I have just photo copies of documents from my Uncle and their father (father of my mother and uncle). as my uncle sent scanned copies of these documents and i took the prints.

I have notarized copies of documents of my mother but my uncle's documents are NOT NOTARIZED, is it ok or should i ask him to send the notarized copies of all these documents. Please reply soon.

Update:

In visa specific Instructions for CHC SINGAPORE is says:

PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP IN CANADA (IF APPLICABLE)
• Proof of relationship to your close relative in Canada, such as birth, marriage or
adoption certificates.
Here is doesn't say notarized copies
• If your close relative is a permanent resident of Canada: photocopy of his or
her Record of Landing (IMM 1000), Confirmation of Permanent Residence or
Permanent Resident Card.
• If your close relative is a Canadian citizen: proof of Canadian citizenship, such
as a photocopy of pages of a Canadian passport or Canadian citizenship card.
Here is doesn't say notarized copies

Hi,

Photocopies will be enough. I never notorised or attested any of the photocopies I submitted. In case visa office is not satisfied with any of the photocopy submitted, they may ask to submit an original ( if necessary).

Thanks Wilson,

As i understand you might have submited your relative's landingrecords/Canadian passport for their proof of resisence in CANADA, what documents you sent as proof of relationship.

in my case i am sending 10th class certificate of my mother and my uncle and a few other educational certificates having father's name and same address. i am just thinking if i may need to get these certificates notarized for my uncle as i have my other's certificates notarized.

Please advise,

Regards,
Pankaj

PS: Please check you PM

Hi Pankaj,

A high school certificate will show the relation of father/children
Marriage certicate
Passport copy including the respective page containing names of father/mother/husband/wife.

There is nothing wrong if you attest or notorise the copies submitted.

Thanks Wilson,

So I will ask my uncle to only get the certificates notarized and send me by mail, I think his Canadian Passport, Care Card, Driving Licence etc need not be be get notarized?

Let your uncle make copies and go to his family doctor, who can attest the copies. It is valid for CIC. Better to send you the attested copies by Canada post.

Thanks Wilson,

I will ask my uncle to get the photocopies attested and send me via mail.

Thanks for your support

Thanks Wilson

Good Luck for your good life in CANADA
