Thanks!

Kung magpapasa ka within July, count 2 months for visa processing so maybe you can put there Oct 2012 to Oct 2014 because for sure yung nasa LMO mo eh 2 years contract.

So here's the thing. I am currently in Canada with a V-1 (Visitor) Visa. I got a job offer as a Live-In Caregiver and I already know the requirements to apply for a work permit. THE THING IS, some websites say that I should apply for a work permit in my home country (Philippines) and some websites say that I can do it somewhere else.
So, question is: Is it possible for me to submit my temporary work permit application to any of the Canadian Visa Office in the UNITED STATES and have it processed there? I am not a US Citizen but I HAVE a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa for both the United States and Canada. It would be too troublesome if I have to travel all the way back to the Philippines then come back here in Canada. It would be much easier if I can just submit my work permit application to the US as it is closer.

Hope anyone can help me with this one.

Thanks!

GUYS pls help...
My bro got his working visa unfortunately pinapakuha xa ng POLO..kso napaatras ang employer nya nung nalaman nya mga new requirements;.. dapat may proof of payment for medical health coverage for 3 months at least 50,000 cad dollars... ano dpt gawin para makaalis ng walang POLO?? guys pls help..

Mau,

I don't know if this works but maybe he can try to travel to Malaysia or Hongkong with a return ticket to Philippines as a tourist then from there he can purchase a ticket going to Canada.
Just try to convince a VO that you will return as stipulated in your round trip ticket as a tourist.
Basta makalabas ka lang ng bansa natin as tourist, I think safe na yun to go to Canada without this POLO thing.

sad, nakaka discourage naman tong POLO na to.
newei, nag read ulit ako sa CIC website about health & insurances (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/arriving.asp#insurance), sabi naman na kinukuha lang ito ng employer once u arrived in Canada... ganito po pagka intindi ko...

Hi everyone... I am just curious if POLO verification is applicable for all applicants, including skilled/professional workers (NOC classification 0, A and B)? Sa lahat-lahat po ba ito ng OFWs, no matter what profession? Salamat!
