sending passport

Hi guys

I have just gotten the medical exam notice yesterday, and I know the next step after medical exam will be sending your passport


I don't understand what the purpose of sending your passport is, can anyone answer that？

Getting PR status stamped, however, if one is from a Visa Exempt country then one does not need to send their passport
