Send multiple passports in same envelope?

Hello. Three of our family members applied together for Visa, we all got a notification asking to send our passports. Can I send the three passport together in the same courier envelope, or should I send them apart?.

I did send 3 passports in one UPS envelope to Guatemala Canadian Embassy, got all 3 passports back 3 days later.
