Hi, I'm getting a UK police check, but I was also a student in the US from 1995-2000. I am pretty sure I went home to Jamaica every 6 months, so would I need to do a police check from here? It shows on the Schedule A background that i went to college in states, so dont want my applciation sent back because I didn't submit a security check. Should I put a letter in there stating I returned home every 6 months, not sure how I could prove that now...it's so long ago.

You definitely need to include a security check from the UK. The fact you went home fairly frequently doesn't negate the fact that you lived there for several years.

Oh great! Best get that underway. ANyone know if it's ok to send application without it, perhaps with note saying its underway and will be sent afterwards?

Agree with Scylla... In your position, bearing in mind that you are spending a lot of the year in the USA, and that each period is close to the 6 months mark, I'd consider getting the USA clearance anyway as CIC may still request it. They have the right to ask for any documents they want to process the application. You should be OK with a note saying that it's been ordered. Enclose a copy of the receipt (if any).
