@DiDi_2617 Just stay patient, your decision shouldn't take longer than 14 weeks at most. If it does, talk to your college or uni about deferral. Webforms do not help, just wait a bit longer ;)
You said it right. I think I panicked because I never had to wait like this. Well, I have waited for nearly 11 weeks, so the thing I should do right now is stay patient a little bit. I hope a miracle will happen to me. Thanks for your advice.

Frankly speaking, I have no experience with that. However, one of my friends did send the web form when her case exceeded the processing time (10 weeks) and she got the update in the portal after 1 week. For me, it will much depend on the officers who are in charge of your application as well as the complication of your case, especially the background verification. Anyway, it is up to your decision but if there is a "legal change" by raising the web form, why shouldn't we try?

Again wishing you all the best and am glad to see your good update after a few days
Well, I think I can make more of an effort by sending the officers a webform, and then I will wait until I get the final decision. I have completed half of the journey SDS. All I can do is stay patient and stay focus on good things. I really appreciate what you're saying. Thanks @suv2020 so much for your help. Hoping I get a good update in a few days and I certainly will get back here to announce this to you

OMG! I’ve seen your posts since last year. You both were such a light for everyone waiting. I’m truly happy you received your PPR and the wait is over. I wish you the best on this new journey. I’m sure you’ll thrive in Canada!

Thank you so much @BalaKCB! :) I agree with every word you said. It is nothing like it! And couples should apply together, I would advice the same, for sure! My husband and I are the proof of that! We have received our OPRs today in the morning after almost 16 weeks of waiting! Our timeline:

SDS for SP + OWP from China
Application Submitted - 16 February
Medical "Completed" (for me) - 20 May
Biometrics "Completed" - 19 April
Everything Else "In Progress" for both of us - 19 April
OPRs for both of us - 6 June
Everything "Completed" for both of us - 6 June

It is a sweet feeling and I wish everyone to experience it! Good luck everyone! :)

When should I expect my OPR/PPR?

here is my timeline:
Confirmation of Online Application Transmission - May 17, 2023
Submission Confirmation - May 17, 2023
Biometrics Collection Letter - May 24, 2023
Biometrics Completed - May 24, 2023

Some late May applicants have already started getting approvals - the process seems very random . FYI: I am Indian applicant going to grad school

After biometrics it takes 20 days for OPR. I hope we will get our passport request by next week :)
I just checked, my eligibility review has not started. Only the background verification is under way. And yes, I hope we get it within this week :)

What is your profile?
Hi, I graduated with a B.Arch degree in 2018 in India, and then I worked for 4 years as a project and technical coordinator in Dubai. Now, I have been accepted into a 2-year project management program at Lambton College for fall 2023. I applied for a visa through the SDS process from India.

Here's my timeline:

Confirmation of Online Application Transmission: May 19, 2023
Submission Confirmation: May 19, 2023
Biometrics Collection Letter: May 19, 2023
Date of Biometrics Enrollment and Completion: May 24, 2023
Review of Medical Results & Passed: June 6, 2023

Currently, my eligibility is being reviewed, and background checks are being processed.

I am a bit panicking bcoz of visa delays.

I think so you have applied under the Non SDS Category.

Yes, but don't worry. It definitely takes some time if you have work experience in a place other than your home country. They definitely take that into consideration when determining your future prospects post your degree.

But if you had sufficient income, good grades, no backlogs, you won't have a problem.
