You should receive a response (refusal or approval) in around 13 weeks.hi , i am applying by 20th of October through SDS and I've gotten letter of acceptance on 5th of October for Jan2023
How long will it take for visa to come??
It happens. At least I tried and still can't figure out what would have gone wrong.Oh, no... I am so sorry to hear that. I was under the impression that we'd be the only couple who have got a refusal in our group of family applicants.. So disappointed together with you.
However, we are getting ready to re-apply, and so should you! We have been waiting for our GCMS notes for more than 30 days already, they are due in another 30 days. I am also awaiting for the decision about my request for deferral for September 2023 from my university. Which semester you are thinking about to defer to?
Again, so sorry! And good luck to both of us!
What were reasons for refusal? Full profile? Not sure if you have posted reasons and full profile in previous posts. May need to consider just applying on your own.It happens. At least I tried and still can't figure out what would have gone wrong.
Considering the average time to get gcms notes at this moment for Indian applications which I got to know is minimum of 30 days which can go upto 90 days as well.
Further, if one reapplies how long will it take to get decision on reapplied application. Considering, 19-20 weeks has been the average timeline for Indian family applicants. Is there any average timeline for reapplied family applications?
I have requested for Jan intake deferral, now that I have got refusal so already requested for May intake deferral. Considering the timeline for Indian family applications May intake looks dicy to align with visa timelines.
Only two deferrals are allowed, so September is ruled out.
So, I am not sure whether I should ask for gcms notes and reapply.
Reason for refusal: The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application. What were reasons for refusal? Full profile? So you need GCMS notes because it could mean anything - don’t believe you are a genuine student based on program, age, career opportunities, program not relevant, few career opportunities in home country, family coming with you so no reason to return to home country etc.Reason for refusal: The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.
If you are going to request GCMS notes and wait for them prior to reapplying, then it might be better considering to defer right now to the Sep 23 term instead of May 23. Just so that you have time to do everything properly. It happens. At least I tried and still can't figure out what would have gone wrong.

So if you have a masters then how does a PM certificate build on your education and career. How did you justify the costs of a PM program with a higher salary when you return to your home country? You want to show that you will be making xx more and be promoted or have a higher position. Also, a PM program can be done anywhere. You don’t need to come to Canada to take a PM course. It can be done online or through the international association. Having your spouse come to may show that you have no ties to home country either.Below are our application details: SDS from India SP + SOWP Applied college: Loyalist, Belleville Application submitted: 10 June Medical passed: SP - 16 Sep, SOWP - 6 July

Yes, of course you should request GCMS Notes as soon as possible as they, indeed, may take 60 days or longer. And you should re-apply, but do so after a thorough preparation. You know, no one knows what the processing time will be in 2023. This year, @Geet7 was waiting for the decision on his second family application for 19 weeks and got the approval. So, I think the processing time does not depend on the number of applications, but on the year applying. This year was clearly out of the ordinary and we, the participants of this forum, have pretty much established that family applications took 18-20 weeks to be processed this year, regardless of being first or second. So, I would say, keep in mind this processing time for next year as well, but I believe that next year everything will go back to normal with non-SDS being 8-12 weeks and SDS being 3-4 weeks. So, apply as early as you can, but not unless you are absolutely ready to do so. Good luck!It happens. At least I tried and still can't figure out what would have gone wrong.
