Schedule 6A - Self Employed Persons

Hi.
I'm currently in the process of applying for PR under the self employed in cultural activities. I'm working on Schedule 6A, and it says "by submitting this form, you consent to the release by the Canadian Government, as necessary of any personal financial information or corporate financial information of which you are the proprietor to the appropriate government authorities"
Can anyone explain this so I know that I am understanding it properly?
