Thank you so much.. but i will be rest assured only once the oath is done and the certificate is in my hands... Jus read soemthing about cancellation of ceremony for two people..
Why dont you call the call centre.. 1-888-242-2100.. select options 1,1,4,1.. and ask them.. call now as the office closes at 4.. All the best
For those who were getting calls from CIC about cancellation, did you also get an email confirming the cancellation? If not, I'd say still go tomorrow anyway. IMO, it is a prank, and potentially an identity theft as well (since they have your date of birth, and possibly, other info about you as well).
Keep us posted on what happend.. as this is the first time we are hearing abt such a thing.. that too 24hrs prior to the ceremony.. which is wierd..

Interesting, two of the forum memebers received Oat Ceremony cancellation call for the very same reason. This could be a prank; I wish they would have asked further info from the caller about their profile such as UCI, DM date, etc. I suggest to be there for Oat Ceremony if they don't receive any email from IRCC.
I did not got any email but the lady that call me is their staff ..... I am just wondering how it comes?! I believe They ask us to do the test after background check.... is there any expiration for clearance???
That's the thing, you don't know if it's their staff. If I was IRCC, I would send an email AND try to contact you over the phone as well.
If I was a person with a malicious intent, once I get your information, I could have easily done the same thing. What I cannot easily do is to send an email with CIC letterhead from CIC email domain.
It is highly likely to be a prank, a very very cruel prank.
Also, did you online status reverted back to In Process from Decision Made?
I heard that several people with actual background check concern had this happen to them.

Any luck with the call centre?? this is highly unlikely to cancel the ceremony for security clearance at this stage..
No change in my online status but the lady that called me introduce herself I googled and find out she is their processing staff, I have her phone number, she told me I have to wait to hear from them .....
I guess that's the only possible course of action for now. In the CIC website, it is mentioned that sometimes, they would call by phone if they need to request more info or documents.

Just a question, did you have to submit any PCC from any country (that is, did you live in any other country besides Canada for over 6 months within the past 6 years or since you became PR)?
