It's definitely not permanent residence. Therefore it should be 'Worker'
@Dhaka,

Bro, why it can not be Permanent Resident? Based on many experts opinion and few of my personal friends that have mentioned the same as "Permanent Resident" and so did I.

Is there any thing wrong? Can you shed some light? what will happen if we are incorrect? I got PER on 21st October but yet no response further

Brother.

Just ask yourself, can you reside in Saudi Arabia permanently?
Your iqama is linked to your work permit, as long as you have a job, you are allowed to stay. If you don't have a job, your Iqama is not renewed and you have to leave. Simple.

PR means you are legally eligible to stay in that country without conditions related to employment. Like Canadian PR, Australian PR, US Green Card, etc. Is the same concept applies to Saudi Iqama? No.

Based on this logic, it is not a permanent resident status at all. It can be "Resident" but not "Permanent Resident".
There are some exceptions, like Syrian nationals, Palestinians with Travel Documents (who doesn't hold Jordanian passports) these are exempted from deportation even if they don't have valid work permit.

But it really doesn't matter whatever you fill in the form, it won't be rejected. It's based on your understanding. So don't worry at all. Your application is Ok.

--------------

Question 10
Current country of residence
Your immigration status in that country (indicate one of the following):
The options are:

Citizen
Permanent resident
Visitor
Worker
Student
Other
Protected Person
Refugee Claimant
Foreign National

For me, I wrote "Worker" and for my wife and child, I picked 'Other' then wrote "Dependent Resident"

I agree with you, and during application submission I was thinking to write worker but people suggested to write permanent resident based on some concept associated with Iqama which is a valid PR type card to stay as long as you have job other wise I would have mentioned worker.

But you said correctly, and make sense. Seems I've made a mistake. Not sure what will happen. Hope InshaAllah there will not be an issue. Keeping fingers crossed! :( :(

Don't worry brother. That part in the form is to gather information for CIC records. Not for decision making.
Inshallah you will receive MR soon :)

yup. Thanks man, appreciated!

By the way, I just noticed you and me belong to same category, so why not get channelized with each other. We may end up helping each other in Canada for finding jobs or other matters. ;)

Hello to all members,

By the grace of Allah today I got PPR2 request.
I have to submit my Passports to Riyadh VAC within 30 days for visa stamping. I would like to know is there any services charges to pay in form of check or draft with courier???

any member who submitted his passport in Riyadh VAC share his experience and procedure for sending and receiving the passports is appreciated.

Another question can i request to extend this 30 days time for submission of PP to 40 or 45 days, since i have a urgent meeting outside kingdom and will return before only 2 days of this 30 days limit so i don't want that there should be any delay which can create a problem

Greetings to all applicants who are residing here in KSA! I am just wondering and would like to ask you guys if what part of the application process would it be good already to exit in Saudi? Is it when the passport had been visa stamped by Canada or during passport request? Need your insights regarding this matter :) 8)

I didn't get your question. Do you mean getting Saudi final exit visa? If yes, then I recommend don't process for final exit until you get the Canadian visa in-hand.

@Neilphysio....it would be best to file an exit when you have the visa on hand. Sometimes, CIC can change their mind after passport request. Remember it's better to be always at the safe side.
