Hi,
I have more than 5 years of experience in Software engineering (software development).
All my experience certificates mention 'Software Engineer'.

Software engineering is a regulated occupation in Canada. Do I need to obtain license / certification before applying for nomination program?
I have worked all along in software development and would be searching jobs in software development only.

Is there difference between 2173 (Software Engineers and Designers ) and 2174 (Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers).
2173 requires license while 2174 doesn't.
Can I apply under 2174 without the need of license, where my experience certificate shows me software engineer?

It's not about your job title.
What is important is the the job duties in your experience letter matches the job duties of the NOC you are claiming.
I'm not really into software, but the call is your's to make.
For SK, i believe 2173 needs licensing.

Wow, so soon? As per their website, they haven't released any info that it's full. However, it's one of the most rushed PNP's at the moment so i won't be surprised if it's full.
Are you sure the application you are trying to submit is EE and not OID?

It's EE and I'm very certain. Yes the website still states '500' but it's telling me that applications is full. Sad

Just have to keep checking then, every1 was expecting them to reopen in January. No one knew they would accept more applications this year.

Well, with the additional applications they have been accepting, their quota for this year has increased. Initially it was 1500, now 3000 (all this year's quota for EE).
It means next year they will have new quota and definitely accept more applications.
The only uncertainty is when they will open and we just have to keep checking

my details are - ECA- Bachelors degree(3yrs)
Ielts score= L=7.5, S=6.5, R=6.5, W=6.5, overall=7.0
marital status=single
work experience is in 2281 NOC B for 4 years

If you are not having at least 1 year of full time Canadian experience, first check 67/100 grid for FSW program of CIC.

Nobody knows for sure the implications of leaving right away the province that nominated you.

This is more of an ethical decision of doing the right thing and give the province that nominated you a chance.

You language band score is 6.5 not seven. Check certificate you received from IELTS.
