It is highly likely to be FP.

Has anyone taken fingerprints in Saskatoon? If so, where was it done and which is faster- commissionaire or RCMP. Also, is it by appointment? Thanks

I did my FP at Saskatoon Police Station on 25th street. It costs $35 and took roughly 2 weeks for CIC in BC to receive the results from RCMP in Ottawa.

No. I just walked in without appointment. Just don't forget to take all the documents listed in the letter you received from CIC (COPR, PR card, IDs). The whole process took about 10-15 min.

That I don't know my friend. I too was thinking the same. But talking with another family who did their citizenship 2 years back, they also had to travel to Saskatoon for the test although they lived in Regina. I guess Regina might be full for the test now, and they put me in Saskatoon - which is good I think.

congrats, u got lucky I guess, cuz otherwise i was thinking that regina applicants will have to wait until May for the tests based on CICs schedule on their website.

It’s better you look at the global spreadsheet to get a rough idea. In my case, app delivered Oct/16, AOR Nov/16, IP Dec/09, Test invite Feb/22, Test date March/12. I am waiting for DM. The officer at the interview said expect oath in 2-3 months time.

Where did you write your test? And how was it?

I had my test in Saskatoon. It was fairly easy. Some questions were knowledge based which means you have to understand the concept to answer it. Some questions were right from the book word by word. I got 20/20 and finished in exactly 3 minutes and then took another 2 minutes to check again. If you read the book 2 or 3 times and do some online tests you will be fine. No date questions for me.

Interview was more to do with checking the stamps on passport and the ids. The officer asked about my job history and why I would like to be a Canadian citizen, what I really like about Canada. I had to wait over an hour after test to be called for an interview. The whole interview took about 15-20 min. The test was at 9 and I left the premise by 11:15. At the end of interview, the officer said “congratulations! Your file is complete. Expect oath in 2-3 months time.”

Congrats once again! You're one step closer to becoming a Canadian Citizen. Did you write the test in downtown?
