Hello,

I would also like to know what is going on thru infos that are shared on this thread. From my research, there are SAP positions here and there in Canada but I am concerned that there are few positions for my specialization which is SAP XI/PI. Although I know that demand for PI expert is normally fewer than other modules. I am hoping to land around June 2013. Then again I am also a little bit concerned that I have less than 2 years SAP experience but I am very confident of my skills. I would appreciate it if any one has 1 or 2 infos to share that could be of some help.

Thanks

guys and gals, I think SAP consultants should not get this "Canadian experience" routine
the certification is international, the process is same, the experience is global,
it could be me, but im positive.

alll the best all!

Hi ItsBeenLongNow,
Have you reached Canada as planned on Jan 2013 ?
If so, please tell us your experiences. Is the Job market good for SAP Consultants ?

Hi All,
I completed my medicals in Nov,2013 and sent updated docs to visa office in Jan. Awaiting final word anyday now.
This is an old thread but I am looking for guidance and sharing experiences in SAP community so replying here.

I am a certified SAP Basis consultant with over 8 years experience. I read a lot of blogs and discussions which have worried me a bit. Canadian job market seems be a "closed" one towards immigrant with Canadian experience a major barrier.

Is there anyone who finally cracked this problem and landed a job? If anyone can shed light on what actually is going on up north, please do reply.

Regards, S

HI Folks

here is a suggestion which proved quite fruitful as i recently got job in canada.
Here are few tips for all keep your self update via linkedin. Use canada postal code of areas you are looking for job as your address this will make you searchable for Canadian recruiters and jobs will showup at linkedin for that area.

If you have any relative or friend address in canada please use that at your resume

don't rush get some Fongo number configure at your phone you can use that number on your resume. Now days nobody will ask your current location as long your number is for Canada.

An expensive tip get some canada number if you can keep it on roaming and use that on your resume.

Finally market is quite open here for SAP Consultant and there are lots of jobs specially for SAP but it will take month or 2 to get right job. So dont get frustrated and rates / contract criteria is quite different in this country.

Be patient and good luck
Syed

Hi Syed,

Many thanks for your response. Recently received PP request so gearing up!
Your tips are highly appreciated and they are quite practical actually.

Thanks again!

Hello All Dear Forum Members,

I am SAP FICO Consultant with 5+ years of experience with background of B.com and MBA (Finance). I am having domain experience of 3 years. Total goes up near by 8+ exp.

I wish to apply for PR, I got in touch with one of VISA consultant for the same. As I have been told that you can not apply for PR now as SAP FICO requires B.E. ( Bachelor Of Engineering ) Degree as per current rule. I not sure as I am being miss leaded by my VISA consultant.

I am in question of "How SAP FICO (as it is totaly Finance and Accounts stuff) can have a background of Engineering ?

I am really disappointed with this news and feeling very much dejected as I can never apply for Canada PR.

Forum please guide on this. Please let me know which NOC Code accommodates SAP (FICO) skill.

It will be really great help for me if anybody can guide me on this.

Regards,
Sharvari Joshi.
