Sao Paulo BRA VO - 2016/17 Timeline

Hello everyone, there is too much scattered 2016 info in spreadsheets and posts so I've spent some time trying to organize them by member. Apologies in advance for any inaccuracy. I’m just capturing 2 dates: SA which is about same time when file is transferred to Sao Paulo AND PPR -passport request date, meaning application is fully approved and all set for final details.

On Mycic I got a Background Check started on 10/18.

Does anyone know how long it takes to accomplished the Background after started ?

Wow yours says background check started, lucky ours just says medical passed, review in progress, interview not needed at this time and background not started. Hmm ....... maybe the background status will change soon then

Unfortunately I don't see any updates for past 10 days on August files.

Looks like they caught up on Q1/Q2 processes then have taken a break to work on something else.

What do you mean by Q1/Q2?
I fear we (August applicants) might not have any updates/news until after New Years :'(

Q1/Q2 first and second quarters, meaning J-F-M and A-M-J. Although they requested 7 passports in a month or so, Sao Paulo processing time still says 10 months on CIC.

My only hope is they are working June and July files which are not listed above. There is a 2 months gap between ACM90 and canadiangirl90.

For anyone who is still waiting, don't expect any communication from SP until a doc request/PPR. I contacted them multiple times to update them with information and they didn't update anything. Don't let yourself lose hope just because you haven't heard anything. It'll happen when you least expect it!!

WOW! Thanks a lot for organizing all this information, Rio2016!
It surely helps us feel less anxious!
Even though it's doesn't mean it'll be the same way for everyone, it feels like it takes an average of 3-4 months to get a PPR after SA, right?
I'm also assuming the Olympics in Rio may have delayed the first semester applications, because after that it has been much faster to everyone.
I hope Christmas Holidays don't delay it so much as well!

Based on new dates I agree the new trend is 3-4 months between SA and PPR.

Unfortunately lot of August members seem to be inactive in the forum so I can't get info anywhere about their PPR. But I'm very happy to see the queue keeps moving with 2 PPR in November so far.

20-06-2016 – Sent App by Canada Post
21-06-2016 – App received in Mississauga
08-07-2016 – AOR1
04-08-2016 – Linked App to MyCIC and Medical was already Passed
08-08-2016 – Review of Eligibility changed to Review in Progress on MyCIC
15-08-2016 – SA Received/Transferred to Sao Paulo
23-08-2016 – AOR2 (Never got an email, got this info on ecas “We start processing your app on 19-08-2016)
11-11-2016 – A background check is needed changed to In Progress on MyCIC
11-11-2016 – PPR (I was not copied in the PPR email)

Just FYI, we never contacted the SPVO, neither requested any notes.
