I got approved for SA this is a piece of the email
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent Residence
(APR) for your relative will be processed separately and he/she will be contacted shortly.

Does that mean my husbands Aip was approved too and now we wait to see ARP (soon?)

No. The AIP is a separate email and is sent to the applicant (or representative if one is used).

In the `old days' (2014-2015), CIC was pretty consistent with things:

1. AOR was received (for the vast majority of applicants).

2. SA was issued to the sponsor via email

3. AIP was issued to the applicant, via email (within a coupe of months of SA)

4. DM was issued, via email to the applicant.

Now...nobody seems to know what's going on at CIC. Some people never get AOR, SA or AIP and then suddenly get DM. Some get SA, AIP and DM on the same day.

So, you will either get a request for more documentation (and/or proof of relationship), or he will get AIP, or...you'll hear nothing at all form CIC until they send the DM email [hopefully] to him.

It's ridiculous, but this is how they seem to be doing things now.
