Hello sa tanan! Im so delighted to have found this forum. Naa lang koy questions maybe you can shed light. In 2012, i was refused with my Permanent Resident (PR) visa application. My concern now is, dili kaha ma refuse ko if I will apply for study permit bcoz I have history of PR application? Secondly, Can i bring with me my common law partner? Thirdly, how much proof of funds will need for both of us? Planning to enroll 1 year diploma program in Toronto. Thank you guys sa inyo help.

Proof of funds: tuition fee for 1st year + 10K CAD 1st year living expenses para nimo + 4K CAD 1st year living expenses para imo partner nya additional for other expenses, total kay equal or the more the better, good luck.

Since I applied via paper, I just received an email. Una niingon ra, "please see attached additional information about your application" etc. Kuyawan lang ko basin nangita sila ug documents, pero when I opened the file, Letter of Introduction na diay!! :D Then today I received notification that my passport has been sent to VFS Cebu! Good luck, hope you can get your answer soon!

No, I don't think it will negatively affect your student visa application basta i-disclose lang nimo ang refusal ug you make a solid and complete student visa application. May I ask why man ka na-refuse sad before?

Yes, you can bring your common law partner, as long as you have been living together for a year and have proof of this (bills addressed to both of you, joint accounts, etc.) -- dili ko familiar kaayo sa requirements ini ... but you can ask the others in this thread

Tnx sa quick reply! the reason for refusal was kulang kog 1 point lang-so devastating! ive moved on...pwede ko request sample sa inyong SOP? Do I need to write the reason in my SOP why kelangan uban akong common law partner?? Naa moy hibaw nga school nga dili dayun bayran ang total cost sa program or tuition fees?? Citi college toronto for one only requires 10% down, 90% remaining payable within 6 months of the program. Baisg naa pay uban school pariha ani...tnx again

waaah, bitaw makaguol jud nang ingon ana, but don't worry. If that's the case, I don't think your previous refusal will affect your student visa application. Make sure lang nga imo i-disclose sa imo application.

Well, yes? you have to describe unsay buhaton sa imong partner while she is in Toronto and more importantly what your plans are when you finish your degree. Assume nga mubalik ka diri sa Pilipinas, unsa may inyong buhaton?

I'm not sure lang, most colleges require at least first semester payment before the start of classes.

Last question, are you sure okay ra ka sa one year course? Do you plan to get permanent residency after graduation?
