RTO Letter on Driving History

Friends, I have read over here that a letter from RTO attesting our driving history in India would help us getting G licence directly in Canada. Firstly, is that true?

If true, may I know the process of obtaining such letter and a sample format?

yes. giving your driving abstract will help you in going for G license test and the learning license of 1 year will be waived. However you should have to give the road test.

check with your local RTO office. Some accept online and others walkins

I did that and they say there is no such letter they provide. Wanted to show them a sample if I get a format here and persuade them to issue one.

Yes its true.
I have done that for my license. Just talk to the RTO person and try to get in writing all the details of your Indian license, its validiity and that you are driving a car in India for whatever number of years you are driving,

If RTO contact wont give you this, try getting hold of an agent and am sure they will get you this letter with some motivation
Not an ethical thing to do, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.
