In my case it took almost one and half month.

I waited like 42 days for my Background check to change from "In progress" to "We are processing". Now, I will wait this much time again for the security to pass it seems. Nah, I should stop checking my account continuously

Just called IRCC they said all the steps are completed and now I am waiting for the final approval AOR June 3, 2021. Anyone with a similar case ?

Bgc will change to we are processing from inprogress only when security is done ? Is it not ?

No, in my case when that happened, agent told me criminality and info sharing passed but security not started

Ok I was under impression that agent can’t see ur file fully , specially related to security they might not know .

My humble Guess would be your file is waiting in local vo to be processed for final stage ,

It's true, call centre doesn't always get full application visibility. There are numerous cases of people that called IRCC, got informed that security was "not started" and one or two weeks later received the COPR. The BG process is longer than that (at least one month), so they had already started before the call date.

Got portal email today AOR 9 April single applicant. VO : RROC Ottawa

Still no update in my case. It is about to be 2 weeks already since I received my 2nd GU. I hope it won't take a long time

I got the PR Portal email this afternoon! It came from Calgary office.
Background check moved to "We are processing your background check" as well.
