Hi all,

Quickie: I was asked to send in the RPRF back in September. I paid it that day, and forwarded it to Mississauga. Question is- should I get a confirmation that they received it by chance (ie. how do I know they received, and forwarded on to embassy?)

Many thanks.

CIC never sends confirmations (I don't like it either, but we'll need to live with it). At most, they will show it on your online file through eCas.

Thanks.

Depending on how he paid, wouldn't there be a record of it on his credit card statement (proof it was charged) or if paid through debit, once it clears the bank it would mean payment received. Just a thought...

Sorry, I was under the assumption that I'd receive a notification as it takes time for them to "process" the payment. Even though I paid with my credit card, I still had to send in the paper (sounds very arbitrary).

In any event, I did call, and everything is ok.

Thanks all.

I guess that is why it may be better to pay it all when you apply. Just avoiding the delay is worth it in my mind.

In my case, the credit card was charged immediately. So it is charged even before they receive the application. This is not a reference for if they received your payment or started working on your file. Your money has only been transfered to CIC and that's it.

If you call, they can look into your digital file. Keep essential data (passport number, case ID if you have one, receipt number, etc.) close, since they need to confirm your identity and maybe they'll also ask some questions about your spouse.

OK...question about the RPRF...and yes I have read through the instructions :) and maybe I missed it somewhere but do we have to pay a RPRF for my daughter as a dependent child? I know we do for me as the immigrant. Since she's going to be an immigrant too I am thinking yes, but thought I would ask anyway.
